Peter Hollens - Special Guest for Oregon Children's Choral Festival 2015

Peter Hollens

I can't tell you how excited we are to have Peter with us!

At the festival, Peter will be sharing his story, his music, answering questions and inspiring our young singers to reach for their dreams and to start reaching now!

For those of you who know him, I don't need to introduce him. Those who haven't yet been touched by his heart and music are in for a real treat. There are a lot of "great" things listed below that Peter is doing and has done, but to me the best things about Peter shines even brighter.

What I really love about Peter is how he has managed to keep a sense of humility and kindness to those around him during his climb to notoriety. Like in this photo of him, you can see that the love of what he does and the people around him shines even brighter than the dazzle of lights around him. If you get to chat with him, he is still a real person that sees you as a real person too... even though he is totally stinkin’ awesome!

Peter Hollens is an American pop singer and producer best known for his work on YouTube as an a cappella cover artist. With over 950,000 subscribers, his videos have reached more than 100 million viewers since 2011. Hollens has collaborated with some amazing artists, including Jason Mraz, Hunter Hayes, Brian Wilson, Lindsey Stirling, Members of Pentatonix Avi Kaplan and Scott Hoying and many more.. He has released over 85 digital singles and has been involved with a cappella music since 1999 when he co-founded the University of Oregon’s male a cappella group On The Rocks. In 2010, he was featured on NBC’s The Sing Off Season 2 with On the Rocks and in 2014 he signed with Sony Masterworks. Peter also is an advisor for Patreon, Loudr, Tubular and on the Youtube creative advisory board, and consults and advises his fellow musicians all the time on best practices and how to succeed in the music industry.

See you all soon!

Sincerely,

Bruce & Jennifer Searl – Festival Directors
