Sponsors & Donations

You can help the Oregon Children's Choral Festival more than you might think. The truth is, every dollar counts!

Your generous donation, in every amount, makes a huge difference in our ability to keep this great festival affordable for young singers all over Oregon. The impact on these young singers of being at this festival, in the Hult Center is huge, but not cheap. In order to keep it affordable for as many schools and choirs as possible, we charge just $15 per singer. As you might guess... that doesn't work very well without your help!

Year after year Oregon school music programs are cut, cut again and finally terminated. At the same time our graduation rates go lower and lower. Perhaps there is a connection. Perhaps it not just how much money we spend on education, but where we spend the money.

More and more research shows us how music is not just fun, it's life changing. Children that create music learn more than just music, they score better academically at school, they have higher self esteem and confidence, then are better critical thinkers and that's just a few of the benefits. What we've seen over the past 40 years is that music in children creates better people as adults!

Whether you are a individual, small business or corporation, giving to children in the arts is a lifetime investment in everyone's future and the rewards are priceless.

Please give the gift of music by donating or sponsoring the OCCF today! It will bring a little song to your heart and a big chorus of singing from all of us! Thank you!

Just in case you don't know what to say... send them here or read them this quote from Margo - Thanks Margo!
WOW!  What an amazing day of musical talent!  THANK YOU SO MUCH for putting in so much hard work planning organizing this event.  The report from my kids was...."This is the BEST day ever!"

We truly appreciated the amazing experience of singing on the Hult Center stage - nothing can compare!  (I'm actually a little nervous to rehearse them on our little stage with limited lighting and sound now...... :-)  I am still a little shocked that our group received the award and am overwhelmed by the whole experience.  THANK YOU!

Thank you for impacting so many kids lives musically...such a blessing to be apart of!

LOVED your daughters song as well - so inspiring for many of my students who are already writing their own music!

2012 Festival Details & Registration

2012 Oregon Children’s Choral Festival!

The Oregon Children's Choral Festival was established in 1982 to provide an annual venue for school and community children's choirs to perform high quality choral music in the state of Oregon. The OCCF provides an opportunity for young singers aged 8-13 to meet and perform with other singers their own age in Oregon.

Each year hundreds, sometimes thousands, of young singers come for all over Oregon to attend this loved festival. Young singers get to perform for and received feedback from adjudicators and clinicians, some are chosen to perform for the whole festival and all choirs get to join in the mass pieces and experience the excitement and thrill of being in a world class performance hall!

Directors often tell us that the Festival is the highlight of their singers’ year because of all the fun, experience and music it brings to their education and lives.
If you’ve not yet been to the OCCF, you and your kids are in for a real treat. If you are a regular attendee, you already know what a great event it is… we’ll see you soon!

2011 Festival Photos!

Here are some photos from the 2011 Oregon Children's Choral Festival. If you are looking for a great festival to bring your elementary through middle school choir to, this is the one. It's probably the most affordable and fun festival you can find. Many of our attending directors have been coming for dacades and say that it is the highlight of their students year. Just take a look at some of these photos and you'll start to get an idea of why you should be with us next time!

Lobby group photo taken after the festival with a few of the schools that could linger around.

Our Guest Performers, Resonate!  (Missing Chirs Dobson in this photo) was awesome!

Resonate! took about 1.2 seconds to get everyone in the hall up on their feet and cheering... then clapping and singing and racing down to front of the stage! I think they sounded great, but honestly, it was hard to tell with all the crowd cheering!
